Pest Control Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pest Control Technician to support residential and commercial routes throughout the Marlborough, MA area. This is a hands-on field role responsible for inspections, treatments, customer communication, and regulatory documentation.
Technicians own their assigned routes and play a critical role in customer satisfaction, service quality, and brand reputation. This position is ideal for professionals who take pride in safe, effective pest management and enjoy working independently in the field.
What You'll Do
Route Management & Service Execution
Manage assigned residential and commercial service routes
Complete scheduled inspections and pest control treatments on time
Identify pest activity and develop effective treatment plans
Inspection & Pest Identification
Conduct thorough interior and exterior inspections
Identify pest species, entry points, and infestation severity
Provide clear findings and recommendations to customers
Treatment Application & Compliance
Mix and apply pesticides using EPA, state, and label guidelines
Follow Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage
Customer Communication
Explain treatments, safety precautions, and prevention strategies
Deliver professional, courteous service to build long-term trust
Documentation & Recordkeeping
Complete service records, treatment logs, and chemical usage reports
Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
Vehicle & Equipment Care
Operate and maintain company vehicle and application equipment
Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Service Quality & Retention
Monitor effectiveness of recurring services
Identify upsell or renewal opportunities
Escalate complex or recurring issues to management
Emergency & Escalation Response
Respond to urgent service calls as needed
Coordinate with leadership on escalated infestations or safety matters
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts pest control license
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to pass background and regulatory screenings
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and access attics/crawl spaces
Strong time-management and organizational skills
